Blanket Hill Hardcore/Metal

BLANKET HILL were founded in 2015 in Luxembourg. Creating an eclectic mix of modern hardcore, thrash metal, death metal and old-school heavy metal, the five members, Sven, Rick, Ornello, Miguel and David quickly garnered a reputation locally and internationally for their relentless live shows and the band was given the moniker of “Luxembourg’s Hardest” by the public. After the release of 2015’s “Kaizen” EP, which garnered many great reviews, the band toured Europe, pleasing audiences in countries such as Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, and the UK for the first time in 2016. After the first batch of UK shows, the band was immediately booked for a second UK tour in October of the same year, due to the great response garnered during the first run. All of this resulted in the band generating quite the following early after their inception. Throughout all the years of being active, the band has also eagerly played many local shows and weekenders across the continent. In 2017, the band released a new EP entitled “Trenches Of Reality” with the help of British label Negative Reaction Records, to yet again rave reviews and toured Europe immediately after its release, gaining fans in places such as the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. In October 2017 the band embarked on their third UK tour, again to great response. In 2018, the band again toured throughout Europe, visiting the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic. 2019 was entirely dedicated to writing a new record, with the first single being rolled out in May 2020. Tours were planned, yet the Covid-19 pandemic cancelled all such endeavours. Nonetheless, time was invested wisely with the band writing and recording their full-length debut “The Courage of Hopelessness” which was released in October 2022 via Nuclear Family Records and AAK Records and will was accompanied by shows throughout Europe and the UK. After rave reviews for the album, the band made their first foray outside of Europe, touring Japan in April 2023. In 2024, the band successfully completed a first foray into Eastern Europe with notable shows in Romania and Bulgaria and released their anticipated second album « The Ash That Shall Remain » in September. Having already headlined small festivals and having played with bands such as Jinjer, Terror, Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, The Ghost Inside, Deez Nuts, Merauder, Evergreen Terrace, No Turning Back, Brutality Will Prevail, Cruel Hand, Jesus Piece, Higher Power and many more, Blanket Hill are restless and relentless, convincing audience after audience of their infectious sound. They don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
